England has seen widespread flooding in the last 48hours. A major incident has been declared following widespread flooding across Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland, with emergency services rescuing dozens of people.
Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service reported receiving over 200 calls on Monday morning. Crews have responded to multiple incidents, including vehicles stranded in floodwaters, evacuations of residents from homes, and rising water levels.
By Monday evening, the fire service confirmed that 59 members of the public had been rescued.
