Hamilton Secures £20 Million Pride in Place Funding

December 14, 2025

South Lanarkshire Council has welcomed confirmation that Hamilton town centre will receive up to £20 million from the UK Government’s Pride in Place programme over the next decade.

This funding is part of a wider £280 million investment across 14 Scottish communities designed to support local renewal, improvements to public spaces, and community‑led projects.

Council Leader Joe Fagan said the boost will work alongside existing town centre plans to create opportunities for residents and businesses. Community engagement will play a key role as plans progress.
