Isn’t politics a fickle thing!? Council elections have been taking place in England this week, with the results still coming in.
Reform have soared to a landslide victory gaining control of a string of councils in England, completely annihilating Labour and Conservatives.
On the basis of the results the Reform UK has 30% of the projected (English) national vote share, with Labour on 20%, the Lib Dems on 17% and the Conservatives on 15%
Keir Starmer says Labour’s by-election loss is “disappointing”, while Nigel Farage says today “marks the end of two-party politics” and that the results are a good gauge for what will happen in the next General election.
Results so far show a massive majority of Reform Councillors will be returned, a first in UK politics. Reform was created out of requirement for a Brexit based party with policies such as immigration at its centre.
