Police Seek Information on Wilful Fire in Hamilton

Officers are continuing enquiries and appealing for information following a fire at a property in Hamilton.

Around 11.15am on Monday, 7 April 2025 emergency services attended a report of fire at a block of flats in Strathaven Road, Hamilton.

Scottish Fire and Rescue Service extinguished the fire and there were no reports of anyone injured.

Constable Charles Johnston at Hamilton police office said: “Enquiries are ongoing, and the fire is being treated as wilful.

“Anyone with information that may assist our investigation should contact 101 quoting incident number 0959 of 7 April 2025. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
