Euro 2028 Ticket Touts Face £20,000 Fines in Glasgow

March 15, 2025

Ticket touts reselling Euro 2028 football tickets in Glasgow could face fines of up to £20,000 under new legislation proposed at Holyrood.

The tournament will be held across England, Scotland, Wales, and the Republic of Ireland, with Glasgow’s Hampden Park among the host venues.

Ministers say the law aims to “sustain the integrity” of the event by enabling Scottish courts to impose fines on those profiting from ticket resale.

If approved, the legislation will also restrict street trading and outdoor advertising within designated event zones in Glasgow, in line with UEFA’s commercial rights.
