Scotland Football Matches Now Free on BBC

March 8, 2025

For quite some time, people in Scotland have been unable to watch Scotland’s International Football matches on free to air channels. Well this has now been sorted.

In a deal struck this week, Scotland’s men’s international football matches will be broadcast live on the BBC, delighting football fans.

BBC Scotland director Hayley Valentine said there will be “free-to-air access to all Scotland’s international matches” in the run-up to the World Cup in 2026.

This outcome follows calls from several politicians of all parties for the national team’s games to be available for fans to watch without having to pay fees or subscriptions, just as often happens with matches in other parts of the UK.
