A dog with neck wounds has been found dead in woodland in North Lanarkshire. The animal, believed to be a collie, was discovered wrapped in a blue fleece near a public walkway in Harthill on Saturday.
According to the Scottish SPCA, the dog, which was not microchipped, had been there “for some time” before being found by a member of the public.
The charity has launched an investigation and is urging anyone with information to come forward.
