Police in Lanarkshire are asking the public and in particular shop owners to be vigilant regarding counterfeit bank notes. They have received reports of fraudulent Ulster bank and RBS £50 notes being used and Bank of England £20 notes.
Anyone with information about counterfeit currency or if you come across a suspicious note can contact police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
