Fatal Crash in Motherwell: 24-Year-Old Arrested

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal crash in Motherwell.

Around 9.10pm on Sunday, 17 March, 2024, Police received a report of a crash involving a 68-year-old male pedestrian and a white Ford Puma on the A721 Bellshill Road at the junction with Logans Road.

The pedestrian was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he later died on Thursday, 21 March.

The 24-year-old female driver of the Ford Puma will be subject of a report to the Procurator Fiscal.
