St Andrews to Host the 2027 Open Championship

January 23, 2025

The Old Course at St Andrews has been confirmed as the venue for the Open Championship in 2027.

This decision by the R&A continues the five-year rotation the Old Course has traditionally followed, with only one exception, since 1990.

Royal St George’s hosted the 2020 Open to allow the Old Course – widely celebrated as the Home of Golf – to stage the landmark 150th edition of the sport’s oldest major the following year.
