Police have confirmed that a man and a young girl found dead at a house in West Lothian were father and daughter.
The bodies of 36-year-old Mark Gordon and six-year-old Hope were discovered on Monday afternoon after officers forced entry to a property on Harburn Drive in West Calder.
The police were alerted by a family member who raised concerns after the child failed to attend school.
Fiona Linfoot, headteacher of Toronto Primary School in Livingston, where Hope was a pupil, described her as “a bright, bubbly, and affectionate girl.”
