Not great news. Sunday morning will be mostly cloudy with a few patches of rain pushing in from the south. These will clear to the north in the afternoon, but there will continue to be plenty of cloud. Gentle winds.
During the first part of Sunday night, it will remain mostly cloudy and dry. Later in the night, longer spells of rain will spread in from the south-east.
Monday morning will be dull for commuters and wet with outbreaks of rain pushing northwestwards. In the afternoon, the rain will clear and cloud will break up somewhat towards the evening.
What about the run up to Christmas?
Tuesday will be a cloudy day, with some bright spells developing in the afternoon in places. It will remain largely dry for most, but the odd spot of rain cannot be ruled out. Wednesday will be similarly, but it will turn brighter in western areas as the day progresses. After a cold night, Christmas Day will see variable cloud with bright spells and dry conditions and sadly little to no chance of a white Christmas!
