A historic B-listed landmark in Hamilton could soon be lost as part of major redevelopment plans.
South Lanarkshire Council has confirmed that the former Vogue Bingo building on Keith Street has been served with a dangerous buildings notice after detailed surveys concluded it should be demolished.
Officials say they are now moving forward with the necessary approvals to bring the structure down.
First opening its doors in 1921 as the Vogue Cinema, later becoming a popular bingo hall, the Art Deco-inspired building was granted Category B listed status in 1979 in recognition of its architectural and historic significance.
