Earlier this morning, around 8.35am on Saturday, 31 May, 2025, police officers were called to a report of a body found in the Calder Road area of Bellshill.
Calder Road is now closed to motorists and pedestrians from Rosevale Crescent to the A721 Bellshill Road.
People are asked to avoid the area if possible.
The death is being treated as unexplained and extensive enquiries are ongoing.
Officers remain in the area while the investigation continues and anyone with any concerns can approach them.
