American Airlines Flight Fire: Passengers Evacuated in Denver

Passengers were evacuated from an American Airlines flight after it caught fire at Denver International Airport yesterday, Thursday 13th March.

Footage captured smoke pouring from the aircraft as passengers stood on the wing.

While there were no reports of serious injuries, the airport later confirmed that 12 people were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

According to the FAA, the flight had departed from Colorado Springs and was en route to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in Texas. It was diverted to Denver at around 17:15 local time (23:15 GMT) after the crew reported “engine vibrations.”
