Police Crackdown: 23-Year-Old Charged in Cumbernauld Drug Raid

A 23-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with drugs offences in Cumbernauld.

Around 7.50pm on Wednesday, 19 February, 2025, officers acting under warrant attended an address in the Abronhill area of the town.

A quantity of cannabis, with an estimated street value of £80,000, was recovered within.

The man was expected to appear at Airdrie Sheriff Court on Thursday, 20 February, 2025.

Inspector Barry Maguire said: “Drugs cause misery in our communities and Police Scotland is committed to bringing those responsible for the manufacture and supply of illegal substances to justice.

“The public has an important role to assist with this and we would urge anyone with information or concerns about drugs to get in touch with us via 101.”
