Motherwell Teen Assault: Nike Trainers Stolen

February 9, 2025

A teenager has been attacked in Motherwell Town Centre.

The disgusting attack happened in broad daylight with the victim’s Nike trainers also being stolen.

Hamilton Sheriff Court heard the lad and a pal were walking towards the town’s centre when they were approached by a 17-year-old and another male. A confrontation took place.

One of the teenagers was left with a bloody nose, bruising and a cut lip as the cowardly attackers ran off. The incident was reported by a passing motorist.

The 17-year-old, who is too young to name, admitted taking part in the attack on Bellshill Road on 5th May last year. Sentence was deferred until next month for background reports and an electronic tagging assessment.
