North Lanarkshire councillors have confirmed that Motherwell will host a half marathon in August.
At a meeting on Monday, members of North Lanarkshire Council’s Communities Committee approved plans for the event, which will take place on Sunday, 3 August. The race will start and finish at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility.
Alongside the half marathon, Ravenscraig Sports Facility will serve as the hub for a range of free family activities, including soft-play areas, bouncy castles, and various games. These activities will be supported by North Lanarkshire’s sports development team, creating a fun and engaging experience for the whole community.
