Bin Collection

December 30, 2024

Some minor changes to bin collections this week. There will be no bin collections on Wednesday 1st January by South Lanarkshire Council owing to the public holiday. Bins will be emptied 1 day later than normal. (For Wednesday, Thursday and Friday uplifts)

SLC remind residents to ensure that bins are not overfilled, lids are fully closed and no excess waste is presented beside your bin. If you have excess waste, you can take it to one of their household waste and recycling centres or request a bulk uplift when the service resumes on Monday 6th January.

The first uplift date of 2025 for Burgundy (Food and garden waste) will be Monday 6 January.

Household waste and recycling centres, including the one in High Blantyre will be closed on Wednesday 1st January otherwise open as normal on all other days. If you need to book a slot to visit the recycling centre, you can book a slot here https://www.southlanarkshire.gov.uk/book-a-slot
